Diplomat says Dominican-Panama free trade grows

newsnviews2.jpg(dominicantoday.com) Trade between Dominican Republic and Panama has taken a new course when industrialists from both nations decided to do business, formally begun July 17, 1985, with the signing of a trade agreement.

In the last eight years the opening of trade has been key for Dominicans and Panamanians, who see the advantages in stronger links, mainly because it’s a safe alternative to motor their development.

Panama ambassador Miroslava Rosa Vargas is aware of the importance of promoting trade relations. She knows the two economies complement each other because they are strategically located between the world’s most important markets.

Interviewed by newspaper Listin Diario, the diplomat said she’ll continue to bolster Dominican-Panamanian trade and affirmed that the two nations share culture, gastronomy, economic development and customs, but mainly an interest to grow on the base of commerce.
